Tegomasu a duo consisting of NEWS members Yuya Tegoshi and Takahisa Masuda, was formed by Johnny's Entertainment to promote the agency internationally. Their debut single "Miso Soup" was released in Sweden in November 2006, followed by its Japanese release a month later. Their second single, "Kiss (Kaerimichi no Love Song)", served as the ending and opening themes for the Lovely Complex anime. Tegomasu continued their success with singles like "Ai Ai Gasa"(2008) for the Neo Angelique Abyss anime and "Tanabata Matsuri"(2009), which topped the charts selling over 100,000 copies in its first week. Their debut album, Tegomasu no Uta (2009), also reached number one. The duo's mini-album Tegomass no Ai (2010) and their third album Tegomass no Mahou (2011) both achieved top chart positions. Notably, "Sayonara ni Sayonara", released in 2013, marked the group's last single before disbanding in 2020 following Tegoshi's departure from Johnny's Entertainment.
