Of the new French rock landscape that emerged at the end of the 1970s, after the punk wave, Téléphone was the band that enjoyed the greatest success and public favor during its short existence. Between 1977 and 1986, Jean-Louis Aubert, Louis Bertignac, Corine Marienneau and Richard Kolinka had the time to record five albums that remain etched in stone, many unifying tracks, and set the crowds ablaze in their wake. From Téléphone's first amateur album (Anna), released in 1977 and featuring the tracks " Hygiaphone " and " Métro (c'est trop) ", to the last successful studio chapter Un Autre Monde (1986), via Crache Ton Venin (1979), Au Coeur de la Nuit (1982) and Dure Limite (1984), produced by top names in the pop-rock sound, the Parisian quartet established themselves as the leaders of French rock with hits such as " La Bombe Humaine ", " Agent trop cher ", " Cendrillon ", " Ça (c'est vraiment toi) ", " New York avec toi " and " Un autre monde ". The bitter separation gave way to the solo careers of Jean-Louis Aubert and Louis Bertignac. A few informal trio reunions in 1994, 2006 and 2013, accompanied by rumors of a reformation, paved the way for Les Insus in 2015.
