Australian trio The Cat Empire, now a sextet, has set out to give an alternative, modernized vision of jazz and, above all, to produce a personal sound combining jazz, ska, trip-hop and typically Latino rock. They invite dozens of different artists to jam on stage or on album, as witnessed by Two Shoes (2005), Cities: the Cat Empire Project (2006) and Rising With The Sun (2016).
