THE COLLECTORS

THE COLLECTORS is a Japanese rock band deeply influenced by British rock and formed by Hisashi Kato. They debuted in 1986 under the name THE COLLECTORS after Kato's initial project, THE BIKE, dissolved. The members are Hisashi Kato, Kotaro Furuichi, Masayuki "Jeff" Yamamori, and Takayuki "cozi" Furusawa. Hisashi Kato, as the main songwriter, has penned most of the band’s music and lyrics, which are characterized by his detailed storytelling and catchy compositions. Over the years, the band has released numerous albums and singles, with their music evolving while maintaining a core aesthetic that nods to the Mod culture and the early sounds of British rock.The notable releases are "GLORY DAYS" (1996), "Giulietta" (1997) and "FIND THE WAY HOME" (1998). Their 26th album King of Hearts Has No Moustache (2024) continues to showcase their vibrant style and musical evolution.
