The Poles

The Poles is a South Korean indie modern rock band formed in 2015, featuring Daniel Kim (vocals/guitar), Lee Huang-je (bass), and Kim Kyung-bae (drums). Known for their dreamy and emotive sound, the band’s name symbolizes life’s fleeting yet pivotal moments. They debuted on September 8, 2017, with their EP From the Outset. Their first album The High Tide Club was released on January 15, 2022. Over time, the group evolved, gaining recognition for singles like "May It Be Transparent Even Though It Is Not Clear" and "Sun Shower." In 2024, they joined WAVY, a label founded by Colde, and released a new single "Anomalies in the Oddity Space" on April 18, 2024. The Poles’ music explores themes of identity, loss, and hope through evocative lyrics and layered instrumentation.
