THE SIXTH LIE

The Sixth Lie, stylized as THE SIXTH LIE, is a Japanese electronic rock band originating from Tokyo, Japan. Comprising Arata on vocals, Reiji on guitar, programming, and keyboards, Ray on drums and sampler, and Ryusei on bass guitar, the band is renowned for their eclectic fusion of Western music influences and futuristic, outer space-themed motifs. Their musical journey commenced with the release of their debut mini-album titled The Sixth Lie in May 2015. This was followed by their first full-length album, Integral, unveiled on September 7, 2016, followed by their inaugural headlining event, Live Integral ver.1.0, in Shibuya on October 16. Their ascent continued with an invitation to open for Slipknot's rock festival, Knotfest Japan, and the band’s sophomore album, Differential, appeared on January 25, 2017, garnering considerable acclaim. June 6 saw the release of their digital limited single, "Go On" ahead of their Live Triangle world tour in 2017, playing to audiences across Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Canada. Their third album, SINGularity, hit the shelves on March 7, 2018 followed by "Hibana," for the anime adaptation of Golden Kamuy, in the same year, which soared to the top of Japanese streaming charts. August 2019 saw the release of the single "Shadow Is the Light," serving as the opening theme for the television anime Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator. Their fourth album, Perfect Lies, made its debut in November 2019 and on December 2, 2020, they dropped "Yuusetsu," the ending theme for Golden Kamuy season 3, followed by the music video for "Last Page" on December 21. Collaborating with Yanagi, they released “LEVEL" for the television anime The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt in 2022, unleashing the tracks "Liars," "Hikari Tsunagi," and "Shooting Star," in 2023, followed by "Shhh" in February 2024.
