Thérèse Deroy

Thérèse Deroy is a pop singer born on July 7, 1942 in Sainte-Thérèse-du-Colombier, Quebec, Canada. In 1965, she signed a recording contract with RCA Victor. In January 1966, she appeared on Jeunesse d'aujourd'hui, performing the song from her very first single, "L'Amour ". The song reached number one on the Quebec charts. She scored a second chart success with " Il Faut Oublier ". In 1967, she topped all the charts with the song " Que Dieu Protège Notre Amour ", an original composition by Marc Gélinas and Donald Lautrec. She scored another hit in 1975 with " Vois Comme C'est Beau ", a duet with Martin Peltier. She then became a piano-bar singer for many years, following in the footsteps of her brother Rosaire Deroy.
