Tif

Algerian-born French rapper Tif, whose real name is Toufik Bouhraoua, was born in Algiers in 1996. The son of an architect and a school teacher, he grew up in the Algiers suburb of Bab-El-Oued, before leaving to study in France at the age of eighteen, where he planned a career as a rapper. Settled in Lyon, he released his first track "3iniya" in 2019 , when the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted his momentum. Back in 2022 with "Emoji DZ" and ".38", Tif made up for lost time with the album Houma Sweet Houma and a succession of collaborations with Younès, Shaz and Flenn, as well as new tracks such as "Hinata", "Amnesia" and "Shadow Boxing", featured on the album 1.6 (2023) and the EP 1.6 (Live Session), recorded live. His bilingual French-Arabic rap with Andalusian and chaâbi influences grew in popularity, and new collaborations followed, with Raplume on "Tango Hawaï" (2023), then in 2024 PLK on "La Nuit", Zamdane on "Noum " and Rim'K on "Tant pis", accompanied by Sofiane Pamart. For his part, Tif continues with a cover of "Nothing Personal (A Colors Show)", now a hit at number 76 on the official French singles chart.
