Valentine Logbo was born on June 14, 1964 in the Ivorian town of Treichville, before following her parents to live in the United States. Returning to Côte d'Ivoire in the 1980s, she met Pierre Houon, whom she married on September 29, 1984. Together they gave birth to two children, Marie-Emmanuelle Houon and Ange-Didier Houon, later famous for his influence in the world of coupé-décalé under the name DJ Arafat. At the same time, Valentine Logbo launched a musical career under the pseudonyms Tina Glamour, Tina Spencer and Tina Spendja, performing in piano bars. She met the group RAS, whom she accompanied on stage, and made a name for herself on the Ivorian music scene. Tina Glamour officially embarked on a solo career in the early 1990s, quickly attracting attention for her suggestive performances which fuelled public discussion. Considered vulgar by the Ivorian media, Tina Glamour unveiled several upbeat songs on her Feeling EP released in 2008. With her son featuring on a number of songs, including "Sexy Love" (2008), Tina Glamour became a media figure and saw her fame grow with "Desaltero" (2012). The accidental death of DJ Arafat on August 12, 2019 moved the whole of Ivorian society, and brought her back into the media spotlight in the months following the event.
