Tom Odell is an English pop singer and Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter, celebrated for Top 10 hits like 2012's "Another Love" and 2014's "Real Love." Born in Chichester, West Sussex, on November 24, 1990, he learned to play the piano as a child and later studied at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. His 2013 debut album Long Way Down topped the UK Albums Chart and went platinum in three countries, driven by the success of the record's cinematic single "Another Love." "Real Love," a cover of the Beatles' original, reached Number 7 in 2014. Two years later, Tom Odell released 2016's Wrong Crowd, which peaked at Number 2 in both the UK and Switzerland. "Magnetised," the album's biggest single, topped the charts in Belgium and peaked at Number 20 on the US Adult Alternative Songs chart, while climbing to Number 40 in the UK. Jubilee Road, his third album, was released in 2018 and peaked at Number 5, followed in 2021 by Monsters, which climbed to Number 4 in the UK and Number 3 in Scotland. Tom Odell released his stripped-back piano-led fifth album, Best Day of My Life, in 2022, which featured the singles "Best Day of My Life", "Sad Anymore", "Flying" and "Smiling All the Way Back Home" and went to Number 7 in the UK. The successor to Best Day of My Life, Black Friday, arrived in January 2024 preceded by several singles, including the title track—which reached Number 21 in the UK—"Somebody Else" and "Answer Phone."
