The story of the three Correia sisters and the Trio Esperança is a singular one. The group was formed in Rio de Janeiro in the 1960s by a brother and two sisters. Trio Esperança eventually settled in France, where they enjoyed a superb second half of their career. In 1991, A Capela do Brasil won them a following in France. This was followed by a series of hits and collaborations with Maxime Le Forestier and Michel Fugain. Back in Brazil, Trio Esperança now divide their time between their two homelands, releasing De Bach à Jobim in 2010 on the Francis Dreyfus label. Trio Esperança pays tribute to the classics of its second homeland with Doce França in 2013.
