Troy Cartwright (April 3, 1990) is a country music artist from Dallas, Texas. He began writing songs at the age of 12 and, by the time he was a teenager, he was already performing at bars and venues around his hometown. After graduating from Boston's Berklee College of Music in 2012, he returned to Texas to focus on his music career. Bull Run, his debut EP, appeared in 2013 and earned him the 2014 Rising Star Texas Music Award. Recorded in Oklahoma with producer Wes Sharon, his self-titled full-length was released independently in 2015. This was followed by the EP Don't Fade (2016), which reached Number 60 on the US Country Chart and Number 8 on the Heatseekers South Central Chart. The following year, Troy Cartwright moved to Nashville and landed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville, which released the singles "Love Like We Used To" (2019) and "Hung Up on You" (2020). In 2022, his song "That's Why" peaked at Number 60 on the Australian Top 100.
