Tsubasa Fly were a five piece Japanese pop-rock group combining energetic dance performances with rock tunes. The original incarnation included just two members - Fujii Yuki and Aina Mai. They debuted with a performance on stage at the Heiwajima Boat Race in Ota, Tokyo in November 2012 and went on to perform various shows around Shinjuku and Shibuya in Tokyo. The following summer they were joined by Shikaki Kaori, Kamiya Ayano and Miyazawa Nonoka to complete the lineup. They emerged on the national stage with the single 'Start in My Dream/Don't Worry Be Alright', released in January 2014 and reaching number 31 in the Oricon Weekly singles chart, and the following May released their first and only album, 'BLACK&WHITE'. The singles 'The Endless Summer' and 'Ray of Hope' (which cracked the Oricon top 20 and reached number one on the indie chart) followed, but in September 2016 the group called it quits, playing a farewell show for fans.
