A heavy metal/grindcore band formed in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) in 1999, Ultra Vomit branched out into satirical metal, deliberately accentuating the more ridiculous sides of metal imagery. Nicolas "Fetus" Patra (vocals, guitar), Emmanuel "Manard" Colombier (drums, backing vocals) and Fabien "Flockos" Le Floch (guitar, backing vocals) masterfully combine the brutality of well-crafted extreme heavy metal with cultural references from advertising and cartoons. It's an explosive mix, sometimes made even wackier by offbeat covers of children's songs. After a series of demos, Ultra Vomit made their big-screen debut with Mr. Patate in 2004. Over the years, the formula was perfected with Objectif : Thunes (2008), and a first zenith was reached in 2017 with the entry of Panzer Surprise! into the national charts, followed by an appearance on the main stage of the Hellfest festival. On the strength of this rise, Ultra Vomit were then booked to play at the Olympia in Paris in October 2018, representing a consecration for the band, who now have a gold disc to their credit. After the live albums L'Olympputaindepia (2019) and Le Gros 4 : Live au ZĂ©nith de Strasbourg (2021), the band returned to the studio to record their fourth chapter Ultra Vomit et le Pouvoir de la Puissance (2024), honored by a sixth-place finish in the SNEP album chart.
