We the Kingdom is a Grammy-nominated worship band whose energetic version of contemporary Christian music was introduced by the chart-topping single "Holy Water" in 2019. The group formed one year earlier in Nashville, Tennessee, with a lineup that featured several generations of relatives. Included in the roster were multi-time Gospel Music Award-winning musician Ed Cash, as well Andrew Bergthold, Franni Rae Cash, Martin Cash, and Scott Cash. "Dancing on the Waves," the group's debut single, was released in 2019, but it was the gold-certified "Holy Water" that derived We the Kingdom's commercial breakthrough. "Holy Water" reached Number 1 on the Christian Airplay, Christian Adult Contemporary, and Christian Digital Song Sales charts in 2019. It also appeared on the band's debut EP, Live at the Wheelhouse (which reached number 3 on Top Christian Albums), as well as the 2020 debut album Holy Water (which reached number 4 on the same chart). "God So Loved," another track from Holy Water, topped the Christian Airplay chart in 2020, while "Child of Love" and a newer version of "Dancing of the Waves" cracked the Top 40 the following year. We the Kingdom released a holiday album, A Family Christmas, in 2021, then returned to the upper reaches of the Top Christian Albums chart with 2022's self-titled We the Kingdom, which peaked at number 2. The album featured "Miracle Power" and "Jesus Does," which reached number 15 and number 10, respectively, on the Hot Christian Songs chart.
