The Taiwanese singer Yoga Lin launched his Mandopop career in 2007, when he won the reality TV competition One Million Star, Season One. He was born 20 years earlier on July 1, 1987, in Chaozhou, Pingtung. A vocalist since his teenage years, he performed with a local rock band during his high school years and received vocal coaching from the Taiwanese rock musician Roger Yang. Yoga Lin relied on those rock & roll chops while competing on One Million Star's first season, eventually winning the competition due to his well-received covers of songs like Radiohead's "Creep." Signing with HIM International Music following the show's finale, he released his debut album, Mystery Guest, in 2008. "Admirer," "Color of Your Eyes," and the title track all became Top 40 hits in Taiwan, and Mystery Guest was named one of the "Top 10 Selling Mandarin Albums of the Year at the IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards. His follow-up release, Senses Around, received the same honor from the IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards in 2009. His success continued with 2011's Perfect Life, 2012's Fiction, and 2016's Sell Like Hot Cakes. Yoga Lin hit a new commercial peak during the early 2020s, reaching Number 17 on Singapore's Top 30 Singles chart with "浪費" and hitting Number 11 on Hong Kong's Top 50 Mandarin Singles with "城裡的月光2021." In 2022, his live version of "完 ,(首唱於XIANG YU YI YANG線上演唱會)" became his biggest hit to date, climbing to Number 2 on the Mandarin charts in Hong Kong.
