Maria Victoria Ramirez de Arellano Cardona, better known by her stage name Young Miko, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter born on November 8, 1997, in Añasco. Her artistic journey began during her teen years, writing poems while attending a Catholic school in Mayagüez. She later studied visual arts at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where she also learned tattooing. Eventually, she became a professional tattoo artist to fund her first microphone and pay for studio costs. In 2019, she began releasing music under the name Young Miko on SoundCloud, with her first track titled "Quiero" and her first collaboration on the platform with her friend Bonaroti. Her official music career took off on July 15, 2021, with the release of "105 Freestyle," in collaboration with DJ and producer Caleb Calloway. Following this, she released several collaborations, including "Vendetta" with rapper Villano Antillano, and "Katana" with singer Leebrian. On December 9, 2021, Young Miko dropped her first solo single, "Puerto Rican Mami." Preceded by the singles "Standard" and "Riri," her debut EP Trap Kitty was released on July 22, 2022, via The Wave Music Group. That same month, she performed "Puerto Rican Mami" and "Riri" at a concert by Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. In 2023, her single "Lisa" reached number 58 in Spain. She also featured on Feid's "Classy 101," achieving Top 10 status in several countries and making it onto the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA. Collaborations with Cazzu on "Brinca" and Nicki Nicole on "8 AM" further established her position in the Latin urban music scene. On June 22, 2023, she appeared on "Chulo pt. 2" with Tokischa, a remix by Spanish singer Bad Gyal. After collaborating with Argentine DJ and producer Bizarrap on "Young Miko: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 58," the Puerto Rican MC began teasing her highly anticipated studio debut through the single "Curita," which peaked at number 94 on the Spanish Top 100 in early 2024. Att., Young Miko's first studio album, arrived in April of that year and landed in the Top 10 of the Spanish, US Latin Rhythm Albums, and US Top Latin Albums charts. Some collaborators featured on the album included Feid, Jowell & Randy, and Villano Antillano.
