Younite, stylized in Korean as 유나이트 (Yunaiteu), is a South Korean boy band created by Brand New Music. The band's lineup is made up of nine members: Eunho, Steve, Hyunseung, Eunsang, Hyungseok, Woono, Dey, Kyungmun, and Sion. Eunsang, in particular, rose to fame through the show Produce X 101 along with the group X1. Despite attaining a high level of popularity, X1 disbanded in 2020. Eunsang then launched a solo career with singles like "Beautiful Scar" and "Lemonade." In the same period, Kyungmun participated in the show "Loud" and represented JYP Entertainment. Their paths would converge shortly after that when Younite was formed. The group officially launched their career with the release of their debut EP, Youni-Birth (2022). Later that same year, the group continued releasing material, namely the EPs Youni-Q and Youni-On (both in 2022). The latter EP featured the lead single "Bad Cupid," which became one of the group's most popular songs. The following year, in 2023, Younite released their fourth extended play, Light: BIT Part.1. This EP featured the song "Waterfall," released as a promotional single prior to the EP's release. In a very short amount of time, Younite garnered numerous award nominations, including at the Asia Artist Awards, Genie Music Awards, MAMA Awards, and Seoul Music Awards, among others.
