Youv Dee

Real name Jamal Thioune, Youv Dee (formerly Don Jam), was born on March 5, 1996 in Gonesse in the Val-d'Oise region of France. Influenced by American rap, and in particular artists such as Skimask, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert and Trippie Redd, he made his debut at the age of 17, taking part in open stages in Paris. He then joined the L'Ordre du Périph collective alongside Assy, ARSN and Swan, with whom he released an EP entitled Vogue Merry in 2017. That same year, he and Assy released a joint EP project called Beta Test. A second EP with l'Ordre du Périph, Mugiwara, was released in 2018. However, Youv Dee soon set about developing his solo discography. As early as 2016, he published his first freestyle rap on YouTube, called "Freestyle Nitro", and the following year, the Gear 2 mixtape became his first official solo project, racking up over 10 million listens in less than six months. Following the release of a new mixtape in 2018, entitled Gear 3, he is preparing the release of two EPs, Planète Mars and Haine World, which he will release back-to-back in 2020. These herald the 2021 release of his first studio album, La Vie de Luxe.
