Yu Mizuki

Yuu Mizuki, born on October 6, 1982, in Warabi City, Saitama Prefecture, is a prominent enka singer represented by Oofuna Music Office. Known for her distinctive appearance, often wearing a ten-gallon hat and miniskirt, Mizuki's powerful vocal delivery stands in stark contrast to her idol-like appearance. Over her career, Mizuki has released several notable singles, capturing themes of nostalgia and love with traditional Japanese musicality. Her discography includes notable releases like "Appare JAPAN" (2008), "Futari no local sen" (2009), and "Koufukuiki no furusato ressya" (2010). More recent works include "Nozomibana" (2016) and "Nami no ihachi" (2017). Her single, "Boukyou Ressya Hurusato Wo Tazunete" was released on May 11, 2022, continuing her exploration of themes related to longing and connection to one's roots. Mizuki released a single titled "Yoidore Kamome" (2024).
