Yubin, born Kim Yu-Bin on October 4, 1988, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actress, and former member of the iconic girl group Wonder Girls. She initially planned to debut with Good Entertainment's girl group, Five Girls, but the group disbanded before its debut, leading her to join Wonder Girls in 2007 as the main rapper, replacing Hyuna. Yubin made her first cameo in the MBC comedy Here He Comes in 2008 and has since been recognized for her vocal and rapping skills in tracks like "This Time" and "Wishing on a Star." Besides her group activities, Yubin appeared in various music videos and collaborated with notable artists across different singles. She showcased her songwriting skills in Wonder Girls’ second studio album, Wonder World (2011) penning lyrics for several tracks including "Girls Girls," "Me, In," and "Sweet Dreams". Her first solo composition was for "Hey Boy" from the Wonder Party mini-album released on June 3, 2012. Yubin made her official acting debut in 2013 in an OCN drama, portraying a genius IT specialist. After Wonder Girls disbanded in 2017, she remained with JYP Entertainment until establishing her own agency, rrr Entertainment, in 2020. She made her solo debut with the album City Woman in June 2018 and continued to release successful singles such as Thank U Soooo Much (2018). Her release, "Traveller, No.501," was released on December 10, 2020.
