The Cantopop singer Yumiko Cheng made her debut as a member of the girl group 3T, then enjoyed a successful solo career with chart-topping songs like 2003's "Dance! Dance!" and 2005's "Arabian Market." Born in Shanghai, China, on September 6, 1981, she moved to Hong Kong at 10 years old and joined 3T in 2001. The band's debut EP, Maiden Butterfly, was released the following year, with Yumiko Cheng singing lead vocals on the hit single "Relative Humidity." She released a self-titled EP as a solo artist later that year, then returned in 2003 with another solo release, Dance Dance Dance. The song "Dance! Dance!" became a Number 1 hit in Hong Kong, and Yumiko Cheng returned to the top of the charts later that year with "The Pain Comes From," a song from her debut LP One 2 Three. The hits continued with her second full-length album, 2004's Perfect Date, which included the Number 1 single "Mindful" and the Top 10 hit "Confused." Yumiko's Space was released in 2005 and produced two additional Number 1 songs — "Arabian Market" and "Think" — while "When a Rose Meets True Love," "Wolf Girl," and "Monopoly" all hit Number 1 in 2006. Yumiko Cheng remained busy for another 15 years, balancing a successful acting career with solo records like 2007's Shanghai Doll, 2008's Wonderful Time, and 2014's I'm A Lucky Girl.
