Ha Soo-young, better known as Yves, is a South Korean singer, rapper, dancer, model, and MC. She was born on May 24, 1997, in the city of Busan. She burst into the music scene as the ninth member of the K-pop girl group LOONA in 2017, and she released her solo single album Yves (2017) later that same year. Her single "new" achieved an impressive amount of success, reaching number 1 on the iTunes K-Pop Songs Chart in Spain and Brazil. In 2017, she also appeared as part of Netflix's Temporary Idols series; she would later go on to appear on several television shows such as Street Woman Fighter and King of Mask Singer. Yves also became a member of LOONA's third subunit, yyxy, debuting with the mini-album Beauty & The Beat in 2018. Subsequently, LOONA debuted as a full twelve-member group on August 20, 2018, with their first mini-album ++. In November 2022, Yves, along with most LOONA members, filed a lawsuit to suspend their contracts with BlockBerry Creative, resulting in the successful termination of her contract and signing with PAIX PER MIL. Yves announced the launch of her solo career and released her first mini-album LOOP, which peaked at number 13 on the Korean Top 100 in 2024. That year, she also contributed to the soundtrack for Missing Crown Prince with the song "Breath."
