Zé Felipe is the stage name of Brazilian sertanejo singer José Felipe Rocha Costa, born on April 21, 1998, in Goiânia, Goiás. The son of sertanejo artist Leonardo, one half of the duo Leandro e Leonardo, Zé Felipe learned his first guitar chords from his father and quickly began performing publicly on various occasions. A significant milestone in his early career was his participation in his father's live album and DVD Leonardo – 30 Anos in December 2013. He performed a captivating medley of "Deixaria Tudo," "Te Amo Demais," and "Coração Espinhado," which marked his first major public appearance. After signing with Sony Music in 2014, Zé Felipe performed on the popular Brazilian live entertainment show Domingão do Faustão, showcasing his talent to a wider audience. His studio debut, Você e Eu, released in October of that year, was a commercial success, selling over 50,000 copies and landing all three singles—"Saudade de Você," "Você Mente," and "Você e Eu"—in the Top 10 of the Brazilian charts. He followed this success with the release of Proibido é Mais Gostoso in June 2016, which sold 40,000 copies and was certified gold by Pro-Música Brasil. The album included the chart-topping single "Não Me Toca" with Ludmilla as well as the Top 5 entries "Maquiagem Borrada" and "Curtição." In 2017, Zé Felipe issued the live album and DVD Na Mesma Estrada, his first release for the label Som Livre. Another live LP titled Ao Vivo em Goiânia came out in 2019 and was certified platinum in Brazil. Preceded by the single "Voltei Pra Cachorrada," his first EP Coloca o Capacete was released in 2023.
