Z.E

Part of a new generation of Swedish rappers who have built a grass roots following on social media, Z.E filled his rhymes with social realism and came to wider recognition when he featured on Cherrie's hit '163 for Evigt'. Growing up in the town of Tensta in the suburbs of Stockholm, Josef Wojciechowicz followed his father into a life of crime, but while serving a prison sentence for robbery, he found rapping as a therapeutic way to unload his anger. Upon his release his nickname was shortened from Zigge to Z.E on the release of his early track 'Bingo' while his collaboration with Dree Low on 'Japp Industrin' was a European trap hit. He went on to team up with Somalian-Swedish vocalist Cherrie in 2017 and their track '163 for Evigt' was a hopeful tribute to the suburbs and immigrant communities which turned into a well-known worldwide anthem when it was championed by Rihanna. His tracks 'Caramel' and 'Allt e Mitt' also notched up millions of views on YouTube and with the release of his debut album 'Min Penna Bloder' he finally realised his success. He also set up the independent record label and fashion company Team Platina with Gringo, Biggie Juke and Jiggz before returning with album 'Sverige Vet' and single '74 Bars', winning his first Grammis Award for Artist of the Year in 2019.
