Jireel Lavia Pereira (March 29, 2000), who goes by just Jireel, is a hip-hop performer who was born in Angola but grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, where he has released several singles. “Cataleya” (2016) went to number 36 on Sweden’s singles chart and “Snap”(2017) and “Força” (2018) reached number 22. His 2017 full-length debut, Jettad, peaked at Number 15 on the Swedish Albums Chart and his sophomore effort, 18 (2018), hit Number 13. He won two awards at the 2019 Grammis and his 2019 EP Nitton entered the Top 10 in Sweden. The track “Alla Mina,” featuring K27, reached Number 3 on the Sweden singles chart. Preceded by the Top 5 single “Gav Allt,” a third album titled Sex Känslor saw the light in 2020, hitting Number 5 on the Swedish Albums Chart. A year later, Lavia Pereira’s fourth full-length, 1953, reached third place on the Sverigetopplistan aided by the single “Mexico,” which landed at Number 23 on the singles chart.
