Japanese boy band A.B.C-Z, managed by Johnny & Associates, originated in Tokyo, Japan. The band, comprising Koichi Goseki, Shota Totsuka, Ryoichi Tsukada, Fumito Kawai, and Ryosuke Hashimoto, made their debut at Shibuya AX on January 31, 2012 with video single “Za ABC: 5stars”, securing the top spot in the Oricon weekly ranking. Their inaugural album, From ABC to Z, released in March 2014, attracted considerable success, followed by A.B.Sea Market in May 2015, which skyrocketed to Number 1. In September 2015, A.B.C-Z achieved another milestone with their single Moonlight Walker, claiming the Number 1 spot on the Oricon weekly ranking, preceding the group’s 2016 album, ABC Star Line, which landed at number 3. Commemorating their fifth anniversary in 2017, the group released hit single Reboot!!! from the album 5 Performer-z, which reached number 2 on the charts. Continuing their success, their subsequent album, VS 5, entered the charts at number 4 in May 2018. Marking their 10th year, A.B.C-Z collaborated with the Tokyo Joypolis amusement park, dropping the chart-topping single JOYしたいキモチ (2018) later in the year. This song was featured in their sixth studio album, Going with Zephyr (2019). The album's second single, Black Sugar(2019), landed at number 3 and featured the track "Showtime," which featured in the drama "Our Showtime." Their subsequent album, Continue?, released in 2020, included hit singles like Dan Dan Dance!! (2019) and Cheat Time (2020), both peaking at number 2 on the charts with the album itself secured the fourth position. In February 2022, A.B.C-Z released the compilation album Best of ABC-Z, which quickly ascended the charts. This was followed by the group's first EP, 5 Stars, unveiled in November 2023, coinciding with the announcement of Fumito Kawai's departure by the year's end. The EP achieved second place on the Top 100 Albums chart. One of their notable releases is F.O.R – Kawariyuku Jidai no Naka de, Kagayaku Kimi to Odoritai (2024) showcasing their dynamic style and vocal talents, contributing to their popularity in the Japanese pop music scene.
