The German deep house producer duo Achtabahn consists of the two musicians Matthias Kurpiers and Kevin Zaremba. Both hail from Munich and have been making music together since their teenage years. The duo became known in particular for their remix of the song "Budapest" by British singer George Ezra. At the beginning of their career, they worked together as DJs at various festivals, but Achtabahn has now retired from these gigs and is primarily releasing new music. Kevin Zaremba released his first hit single "How Do You Do! 2012" in 2012, which reached number 15 in the Austrian charts, number 37 in Germany and number 75 in Switzerland. Together, the duo released the track "Sonnendeck" in 2014. This is followed by the remixes "Nur wenn sie daenzt" by Laith Al-Deen, "Bedingungslos" by Sarah Connor, "Ultraleicht" by Andreas Bourani and "Fliegen" by Matthias Schweigehöfer. " Ultraleicht" is awarded the Golden Record and enters the top 50 of the German and Swiss charts. 2019 sees the release of the single "Boten Anna", which the duo produces for Swedish dance musician Basshunter. The track is a worldwide success and is awarded several gold and platinum awards. In October 2021, the single "Du bist weg" is released in collaboration with the German rapper Kayef. The song reaches 69th place in the German singles charts.
