Thomas Adolphson (born 30 July 1949 in Solna Parish, Stockholm) and Anders Falk (born 15 April 1949 in Stockholm) of Swedish synth-pop duo Adolphson & Folk met during army service in 1968 and decided to form a musical project. They released their debut single "För ung för att förstå" ("Too Young to Understand") in 1973 followed by the Nattexpressen ("Night Express") album in 1978. The following year, they were catapulted onto the national stage at Melodifestival (the Swedish Eurovision decider) and later broke through to the mainstream thanks to their popularity on Swedish radio show Eldorado, and boosted by the success of the "Blinkar Blå" single in 1981. The group's career-defining LP "Med rymden i blodet" ("With Space in the Blood") arrived a year later, with an English version (From Here to Eternity) following in 1983. The 1980s bore a raft of much-loved LPs, often themed around space, astronomy and radio technology, including the 1982 compilation Eldorado. Stjärnornas musik, which yieled a festive hit in "Mer jul" ("More Christmas"). Additionally, Swedish album Över tid och rum was issued in 1984 while and I nattens lugn (1986) spawned a hit in "Ifrån." The group marked the start of the 1990s with Indigo, an album more interested in love and life than space and the cosmos, after which the duo took some time out. They returned in 1999 with their seventh Swedish album, 4dolph5son:f4lk, going on to tread more acoustic-rich territory in the naughties via their trio with Magnus "Mankan" Marcks (double bass), and later assembling as a quartet with Hans Loelv on piano and accordion. 2006 saw the release of an acoustic album of the group's best-known 1980s hits, titled Vidare, while several other releases also emerged in the 2010s, notably their tenth album Vintertivoli ("Winter Fair") in 2015 and their 50th-anniversary anniversary album, 50, in 2018. A live album, Levande (live), saw the light in 2022. Adolphson-Falk released the Fyra dedikationer EP in 2023.
