AMOYAMO

Amoyamo, a Japanese pop duo consisting of models Amo and Ayamo, was formed by DefStar Records in 2012. The group's name is a blend of both members' first names. Notably, former label-mate Tomoko Kawase served as their mentor and producer. They debuted with the EP Amoyamo in August 2012 and gained attention with their single "Let's Go Out" which was featured as the twelfth opening theme for the anime Gin Tama. The song peaked at number 23 on the Oricon singles chart. In 2013, Amoyamo parted ways with Kawase and released their double A-side single "Live / Magic." Their debut and last album, titled Flash was released on October 30, 2013. On March 14, 2014, the official website announced Amoyamo's decision to cease activities as a group.
