BEYOOOOONDS

The J-pop girl group Beyooooonds formed in October 2018, featuring twelve vocalists spread across three different units. Led by Reina Ichioka, Kurumi Takase, and Miyo Hirai, the group made its highly-celebrated debut with 2019's "Megane no Otoko no Ko / Nippon no D·N·A! / Go Waist," a triple-sided single that peaked at Number 1 on the Oricon chart and Number 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. A full-length album, Beyooooond1st, was released later that year, charting at Number 3 on the Oricon Albums Chart and earning Beyooooonds the "Best New Artist" honor at the 61st Japan Record Awards. Beyooooonds expanded its multi-media reach in 2020, hosting a series of radio programs throughout the year and also appearing in the group's own TV variety show, KURAGAE ~Watashitachi no Koto, Oshite Kudasai!. A second multi-song single, "Gekikara Love / Now Now Ningen / Konna Hazu ja Nakatta!," followed in March 2021.
