Born July 21, 1978 in Nashville, Tennessee, Heath's career began in 2000 with his major-label debut album, Don't Get Comfortable, released in 2006. He began writing music as a teenager after receiving a guitar as a Christmas present and performing in his school choir. His second record, What If We, was nominated for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album in 2009 as well as the song, "Give Me Your Eyes", which won Song of the Year at the 40th GMA Dove Awards. The song also spent 14 weeks at Number 1 on Billboard's Hot Christian AC chart and 27 weeks atop the iTunes Christian Song Chart. He received further Grammy nominations for his 2011 record, Leaving Eden, for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, and Best Contemporary Christian Music Song for the single, "Your Love". In 2013 he released the Christmas album, Christmas Is Here, with No Turning Back following in 2015, Faith Hope Love Repeat two years later, and the Baby Boy EP in 2020.
