Specializing in pop/rock power ballads, Buzz is a South Korean band that first topped the Gaon charts with the album Effect in 2005. The group formed in 2003 and released the debut album Morning of Buzz that same year. Morning of Buzz reached number 10 on the Gaon Album chart, and the band released non-album singles like "A Poor Love" and "Love Comes From the Heart" before returning in 2005 with the sophomore album Effect. The record became a Number 1 hit in South Korea and eventually sold more than 250,000 copies. A third album, Perfect, reached number 2 in 2006, its popularity boosted by singles like "My Love," "My Darling," and "남자를 몰라." The band's momentum was halted the following year, when all four members began serving their mandatory 26 months in the South Korean Army. By 2012, Buzz was back on the South Korean charts with "My Heart Is Crying," which peaked at number 41 on the Gaon Digital Songs chart. Two years later, the reunite group released its third album album, 2014's Memorize. The album itself reached number 11, while the single "The First Summer in 8 Years" climbed to number 23 on the singles chart. One year later, the non-album singles "Forever Love" and "Love Comes From the Heart 3" both cracked the Top 20. The 2017 EP Be One charted at number 9 and produced the popular single "The Love," which peaked at number 6. More EPs arrived in the form in 2018's 15 and 2021's The Lost Time, the latter of which charted at number 33.
