Chadia Rodríguez (born on November 6th, 1998) is an Italian rapper of Spanish and Moroccan origins. Known for being one of the first female trap artists in Italy, Rodríguez moved to Turin with her family while she was still a child and eventually pursued a career in female football. After an injury left her unable to play, she decided to focus on her music career influenced by female rappers like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. Shortly after the release of her debut single, “Dale” in 2018, Rodríguez caught the attention of Sony Music, who decided to offer her a record deal. After releasing the singles “Fumo bianco” and “Bitch 2.0,” she published Avere 20 anni (2019), an EP that collected all of her previous singles, plus a couple of unreleased tracks. That same year, she was the headliner of the MI AMI XXX festival, held in Milan’s District 272. By the turn of the decade, Rodríguez released the single “La voce di Chadia,” inspired by the TV series Narcos, and “Bella così,” a collaboration with Italian singer-songwriter Federica Carta whose heartfelt lyrics tackled body shaming and cyberbullying.
