Born on April 22, 2001 in Offenbach am Main, Germany to Italian parents, rising popstar Chiara D'Amico kick-started her singing career in 2019 on German singing contest Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar (Germany is looking for a superstar). She released a slew of singles that year: "Non Me Po 'Tratta' Accussi," "S'arrubate 'o Core" (with Benny G) and the reggaeton-flavored "Te Pretendo." D'Amico returned to Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar in 2020 and finished second place on the show, performing “Dance Monkey” by Tones And I, “Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears and a version of Dieter Bohlen's hit song “Eine Nacht” in the finale. She released a trio of singles in 2020, including her rendition of "Eine Nacht," as well as "Böse Jungs" and "Perché C'è Lei."
