The Chris Buck Band is a country music group formed in British Columbia, Canada. Founded by singer, songwriter, and namesake Chris Buck, the group became a popular live act and began to attract attention in Canada’s flourishing country music scene. They released their debut single, “Caribbean Dream,” in 2013. The single paved the way for the group’s self-released debut album, Buck Wild, which was released in 2014. That year, they won the Country Club Act of the Year award from the Columbia Country Music Association (BCCMA). In 2015 the Chris Buck Band won both the Country Club Act of the Year and the Group / Duo of the Year honors at the BCCMA Awards. Signing to the Royalty Records label, the Chris Buck Band released their self-titled album in 2017. The album included three Top 40 singles – “Leave Your Light On,” ‘Giddy Up,” and “Sun Sets Down” – as well as “That’s When You Know” (featuring Kira Isabella), which hit number 19. Their third album, All In, was released in 2019 and included the Top 40 hit “Good Old Days.” At that year’s BCCMA Awards, Chris Buck was honored with the Songwriter of the Year Award. After signing with the Sakamoto Music label, the Chris Buck Band released the album Answers (2023), which included the singles “Can’t Beat the View,” “Thank God for Good Friends,” “Wild and Free,” and “She’s Gone.” Answers earned the group the Album of the Year honors at the 2023 BCCMA Awards. In 2024, the Chris Buck Band released the single “Cowboy Boots,” a collaboration with Australian-Canadian country singer Gord Bamford.
