Clazziquai Project

Clazziquai Project, also known simply as Clazziquai, is a South Korean electropop band formed in 2001. The group was founded by DJ Clazzi (Kim Sung-hoon), who was known for his ability to blend various genres like electronic, acid jazz, and house music. DJ Clazzi's music initially gained popularity online, leading to the formation of Clazziquai. The original lineup included Korean-Canadian siblings Alex and Christina Chu, with Christina later being replaced by Horan. The band officially debuted in 2004 with their first studio album, Instant Pig, which sold over 80,000 copies and received critical acclaim. Their music gained mainstream popularity with the inclusion of their songs "Be My Love" and "She Is" in the hit Korean drama My Lovely Samsoon in 2005. This success earned them multiple awards, including Best Soundtrack at the Mnet KM Music Video Festival and Artist of the Year at the Korean Music Awards. Clazziquai continued to release successful albums, including Color Your Soul (2005), Love Child of the Century (2007), and Mucho Punk (2009). They also contributed to the Japanese music scene and video game soundtracks. In the 2010s, they released albums such as Blessed (2013), which peaked at number 8 on the Korean charts. They've also released Blink (2014), and Travellers (2016), as well as a string of successful remix albums and collaborations. In 2023, Clazziquai Project returned with the single "Beautiful Thing," featuring Jaeyeon and Kim Suyoung, followed by "Static" with JAEMAN and Kei.
