Clon (Korean: 클론) is a South Korean dance music duo, widely recognized for their contributions to the K-pop and dance music scene of the late 1990s. Formed in 1996, Clon consists of members Kang Won Rae and Koo Jun Yup, both of whom initially debuted as part of "Hyun Jin Young and Wawa" in 1990. However, it wasn’t until they joined forces under the supervision of producer Kim Chang Hwan that they found significant success. Their debut album Are You Ready? (1996) was a major hit, praised for its innovative incorporation of energetic dance routines and catchy beats, marking them as pioneers in combining strong choreography with music in Korea. Their success continued with albums like One More Time (1997) and New World (2000), solidifying their place in the Korean pop music industry. Tragically, in 2000, Kang Won Rae was paralyzed from the waist down following a motorcycle accident. Despite initially considering disbandment, Clon returned in 2005 with their fifth album Victory, dedicated to Kang’s wife for her support during his recovery. After years of sporadic appearances, Clon officially returned in 2017 with their EP We Are, releasing the single "BAMDEELALILA" featuring Ailee.
