Colla Zio

Armed with their vivid tales of Gen Z life, Italian hip-hop crew Colla Zio—comprising vocalists Tommaso "Berna" Bernasconi, Andrea "Mala" Malatesta, Francesco "Glampo" Lamperti, Andrea "Armo" Arminio, and Tommaso "Petta" Manzoni—capture a fun-filled pop vibe in their tunes. The group formed in Milan in 2019 and released "Bibite / Americana" that same year. A sprinkling of singles followed over the next few years, including 2021's "Gremolada" and "Sola La Notte," and in September 2022, they participated in the Area Sanremo contest, winning one of the four spots available for Sanremo Giovani, a televised competition aimed at selecting six newcomers as contestants of the 73rd Sanremo Music Festival. They made it into the top six with "Asfalto," later picking "Non mi va" as their entry for the Sanremo Music Festival 2023. Featuring "Non mi va," the group's debut album Rockabilly Carter landed in 2023.
