Costa Cordalis was born in Greece but found success in Germany as a schlager singer. After moving to Frankfurt when he was 16, his first single was a cover of Elvis Presley's 'Crying in the Rain' in 1965. In 1973 his single 'Anita' scored a hit in the German charts. He had several more hit singles between 1973 and 1977 such as 'Du Hast Ja Tränen in Den Augen' and 'Steig in Das Boot Heute Nacht, Anna Lena'. He has released more than two dozen albums and numerous singles. In 2004 he won the German reality TV show 'Ich Bin Ein Star - Holt Mich Hier Raus!' He died in July 2019.
