Dan Bigras, real name Daniel Bigras, is a rock singer, songwriter, musician, actor and director born December 23, 1957 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. By the mid-1980s, he had become a dominant face on the Quebec rock scene. In 1990, he released Ange Animal, his first album. Two years later, he presents Tue-Moi , an album he produced entirely himself. The song " Tue-Moi " quickly became a classic of Quebec chanson. The album sold over 80,000 copies and won the Félix for Rock Album of the Year at the ADISQ Gala. In 1993, he released Les immortelles. This was followed by Le fou du diable in 1995. He was subsequently commissioned to create the soundtrack for the film J'en Suis in 1997. In 1998, he released the album Le chien, which he produced and directed. To mark the tenth anniversary of the Children's Rights Charter, he produced and directed the album 2000 et un Enfant with Laurence Jalbert, Éric Lapointe, Garou and Isabelle Boulay. In 2005, he returned with the album Fou. In 2007, he was proclaimed Artist for Peace. 2008 saw the release of Duos de la Tendresse. This album brings together some of Quebec's most beautiful female voices. In 2009, Dan Bigras brought together the greatest hits of black American music on his album Fan. In 2014, he released Le Sans Visage. In 2017, he offers the album Le Temps des Seigneurs: 25 ans, 25 Chansons.
