DJ Kheops was behind the creation of IAM with Akhenaton. The two Marseillais formed Lively Crew in 1984 and IAM in 1989. This hip-hop nut and unrepentant vinyl collector released the acclaimed Sad Hill in 1998. Sad Hill Impact in 2000, takes up the same concept, offering a mix of tracks by DJ Kheops' many friends. His Opération Funk compilation series began in 2002, and is still going strong with Opération Funk 6, released in 2010.
