Ellie Holcomb

Ellie Holcomb is an American Christian contemporary folk singer and songwriter. Born Elizabeth Bannister on September 12, 1982, in Nashville, Tennessee, she began her career as a member of the Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors band, where she met musician and future husband Drew Holcomb. In 2011, she made her official debut as a solo artist with the Magnolia EP, which managed to enter Billboard's Christian and Independent charts. This was followed by the release of a second EP titled With You Now a year later. As Sure as the Sun, her first studio album, was released in 2014 to great critical acclaim, reaching Number 2 on the Top Christian Albums chart and helping her win Best New Artist at the GMA Dove Awards. Produced by her father, Brown Bannister, her sophomore effort Red Sea Road (2017) fared just as well, peaking at Number 3 in the US Christian charts thanks to singles like "Find You Here," "Wonderfully Made," and "Red Sea Road." Over the next few years, Ellie Holcomb released the award-winning children's music album Sing: Creation Songs (2018) and returned in 2021 with her third studio full-length, Canyon. In 2022, her version of the Christmas classic "Jingle Bells," included in the holiday album Sing: Christmas Songs, entered the Christian Airplay Top 50 at Number 48.
