EXILE TAKAHIRO is the stage name of Takahiro Tasaki, a versatile J-pop vocalist who performs with the boy band Exile as well as the rock act Ace of Spades. He was born in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, on December 8. 1984, and raised in Nagasaki Prefecture. After attending an Exile concert in 2005, he successfully auditioned to be part of the band in 2006. EXILE TAKAHIRO played a prominent role in the group's lineup from the start, serving as lead singer on chart-topping songs like 2007's "Michi" and a 2008 cover of Wham!'s holiday single "Last Christmas." He also wrote original material for Exile, serving as the lyricist on tracks like "Tegami" and "Dream Catcher." While continuing to record and tour with Exile, he also co-founded the band Ace of Spades in 2012, making his debut as the group's frontman with the single "Wild Tribe." The song peaked at Number 3 on Japan's Oricon chart. One year later, EXILE TAKAHIRO launched a solo career with "Issen Ichibyou," a Number 2 hit. Another solo single, "Love Story," was released the following year and peaked at Number 3. EXILE TAKAHIRO released his full-length solo debut, the VISIONALUX, in 2015 and launched a concurrent acting career, appearing in multiple TV dramas before starring in all three installments of the High&Low action movie series. Continuing to balance multiple projects as a performer, songwriter, and actor, he released another solo single, "Lovers Again," in 2021.
