Herencia de Timbiquí are a musical aggregation from Colombia who perform a mix of regional traditional themes with an Afrobeat influence and pop sensibility. Formed in 2000, the lineup includes musical director and trumpeter Omar Trujillo plus Enrique Riascos on marimba, Pablo Mancilla on congas, Etiel Alegría on a folk drum, Julio César Mancilla on drums, Julio Sánchez on bass, Javier 'Newi' Rosero on guitar, Carlos Galves on keyboards, Alvaro Martinez on tenor saxophone, Maite Hontelè on trumpet and vocalist Jhojan Olave on percussion. They have performed in America, Russia and other nations and played at the Jazz Festival of Montreux in Switzerland and the SXSW festival in Texas, USA. Albums include 'From Mangle to Mango and Following the Path' (2006), 'Black Carols' (2007), 'Tambó (2011), 'This Is Enjoy!' (2014), 'This Is Gozar - Timbiquí Edition' (2015) and 'Al Natural' (2018).
