Born on August 13, 1984 in Jonquière (Canada), Jérôme Couture distinguished himself at the age of 18 when he won first prize in the "Performer, 18 and over" category at the 11th edition of the Festival de la chanson de Saint-Ambroise. He began his university studies with a focus on music, specializing in jazz and pop. He took part in the TV talent show La Voix in 2014 and used the invaluable advice of his coach Marc Dupré to shape a debut album, soberly titled Jérôme Couture, which was released the same year and notably features the song "Goodbye Girl". Two years later, the album Gagner sa Place was released, with the title track "My Sweetest Thing". A third album, Mon Paradis, was released in 2018. It includes the tracks "Mon vieux" and "Mon paradis". Four years later, Jérôme Couture returned with a single entitled "Le Monde est à moi", which reached number 42 in the Canadian charts.
