Roxane Bruneau is a Juno-nominated and Félix Award-winning pop vocalist from Delson, Quebec. Born on January 14, 1991, she began playing guitar and writing songs as a teenager. Dysphorie, her debut album, was released in June 2017 and earned a gold certification in two years, as well as nominations for "Pop Album of the Year" and "Revelation of the Year" at the 2018 Félix Awards. Although Bruneau didn't win in either category, she returned to the Félix Awards in 2019, this time winning "Song of the Year" for her hit single "Des p'tits bouts de toi." An outspoken gay advocate, she married her girlfriend Caroline Lefort later that year and began working on her second album, Acrophobie, which was released in 2020. Acrophobie reached Number 6 on the Canadian Albums Chart and, like Dysphorie before it, was certified gold in Canada. Bruneau received a nomination for "Song of the Year" at the Félix Awards in 2020, although her nominated song, "Aime-moi encore," ultimately lost to Les Cowboys Fringants' "L'Amérique pleure." Another single from Acrophobie, "À ma manière," proved to be a more resounding success, winning "Song of the Year" at the same awards show one year later and reaching Number 26 on the Canadian AC chart. Bruneau was also named "Female Artist of the Year" during the same event, with Acrophobie taking home awards for "Bestselling Album of the Year" and "Pop Album of the Year." Acrophobie's third single, "Si Jamais On Me Cherche," peaked at Number 9 during the summer of 2021, and Bruneau scored another Top 20 hit with the stand-alone single "Partout" in late 2022.
