Jimmy Saa

Jimmy Saa, born Jiminson Saa Orobio on June 5, 1967, in Buenaventura, Colombia, is a renowned salsa singer and musician celebrated as "El Embajador del PacĂ­fico Colombiano." His career began as a percussionist, performing with major national and international orchestras like Grupo Niche, Polo y Sus Estrellas, and Yuri Buenaventura, gaining significant experience in the salsa scene. In 2003, after years of performing with top orchestras, Jimmy Saa launched his solo career with the release of his debut album Tempestad, which blended salsa and Colombian folklore. The album was a hit, selling over 30,000 copies in its first two years, thanks to tracks like "La Primera Dama" and "Ola De La Mar." His second album, Golpe Original, released in 2007, further established his reputation with hits like "Bacoso" and "Conflicto de Amor." Over the years, Jimmy Saa has performed internationally, bringing the sounds of the Pacific coast to audiences in the U.S., Spain, and Latin America. His music continues to evolve, blending salsa with romantic themes and Pacific folklore, making him one of the most respected figures in Colombian salsa fusion. In 2011, he dropped his third full-length, Embajador.
