The German Kölsch rock band Kasalla hails from Cologne and was founded in 2011 by singer Bastian Campmann and songwriter and guitarist Florian Peil. A few months after their first concert, their debut album Et jjtt Kasalla! was released in early 2012. The accompanying single "Pirate" makes it to 48th place in the charts in Germany. In summer 2014, Kasalla give their first open-air concert at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne and are awarded the German Music Authors' Prize. Their third album Us der Stadt met K. is released at the beginning of 2015 and reaches 12th place in the German charts. The single "Stadt met K " reaches 86th place in the singles charts. In September 2017, Kasalla release their album Mer sin eins, which climbs into the top 5 of the German album charts. A year later, the band is nominated for the Echo, after which their album Best Of - 10 Jahre (#36) is released at the end of 2021.
