Songwriter and producer Edward Mokolo Jr, aka Kaysha, was born on January 22, 1974 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He didn't stay there long, traveling the world for his father's professional needs, who ended up working as an ambassador in France in 1981. Rapping in French, English and Spanish, he began performing live in Belgium and France in the early 90s. He formed his first hip-hop group, E-Komba.
